Mission
The mission of the Athens County Democratic Party is to:
- Promote democratic ideals and principles;
- Educate residents on voting, candidates, and issues they care about most;
- Increase active participation in local, state, and national issues and elections;
- Promote fair and accessible elections;
- Identify, recruit, train, support, and elect committed Democratic candidates for public office;
- Develop an open and dynamic grassroots organization to carry out Democratic Party activities, and;
- Raise sufficient resources to effectively achieve these goals.
